Award-winning documentary producer, journalist & fiction author based in California.
As an Emmy-winning documentary producer and former journalist, I’ve spent most of my career focused on crafting compelling narratives and finding unique ways to look at stories that people think they already know.
I am currently producing a documentary focused on higher education in prison, which will premiere on PBS in 2026, and seeking representation for my first fiction novel, Encounters.
I have reported on business, crime, sports, immigration, environmental justice, and issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community both in the USA, in California, Washington, New York, Arizona, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Louisiana, and internationally.
My work has won a Southeast Regional Emmy award, a Rocky Mountain Emmy award, an Edward R. Murrow award, and an Arizona Press Club award and was nominated for an Investigative Reporters and Editors award.
I’m originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, and currently reside in Orange County, CA, by way of North Dakota, Hawaii, Arizona, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
